As a Part of our Scienec club Triple Helix affiliated to Vigyan Prasar, DST, our department takes up many extension activities and help our students to be Socially responsible too along with academics.
Reaching out students in schools through hands-on activities, helping students with different learning needs, popularisation of Science related policies, creating learning materials for school children are our focus.

Our department students has popularised Foldscope, a foldable microscope in various SChools. We have translated the entire instructions of DBTFoldscope assembly to TAMIL that helped hundreds of our Tamil Children.
